Introduction to Excel Modeling Video
This is a preliminary video to working with Excel, the excel worksheet allows the user to follow along.
The first half of the video ensures your computer is configured properly, to include function lock and scroll lock. This first half can be skipped if you are not in an excel training environment.
The second half explains basic excel functions and mechanics.
This video explains the process of creating visualizations in excel. The same worksheet is utilized.
There are three visualizations covered in this video:
1. Conditional formatting, which allows data to be visualized without producing a chart.
2. Bar charts, while simple to create are challenging to optimize.
3. Treemaps, that are very easy to create if data is properly organized.
This video explains the process of exporting visualizations from excel to word or powerpoint.
Organizing graphs, images, and text within a presentation is a unique skill that is often overlooked and considered inherently obvious.
However, the difference between a good presentation and great presentation is often dependent on the fine details described in this video.
